The aim is to invite contributions to extend the accounts to include bryophytes, vascular plants, fungi, lichens, amphibians, reptiles, birds, mammals and invertebrates, but again with particular emphasis on endemic and locally important species. Ultimately the aim is to help develop a global conservation strategy.
